These photos were taken in December, 2006.  This group of goats had been on a project for awhile and had

come home.  I was evaluating goats, at thought I would photograph these different hoof conditions.

2yr old kiko doe. Hooves were trimmed in 7-06. Photo taken 12-06. Doe was culled. She was not bred by us.

2yr old kiko/saanen doe. Feet are long, and will need maintenance. She and her sister were culled.

2yr old kiko/Spanish cross doe. Hooves never have been trimmed. She is now 6 yr old in 11-08 and still with us. She is a doe we bred.

1yr old kiko/nubianX. No hoof trim needed.

1yr old wether. Front hooves are good, but rear hooves will require maintenance. Only the back hooves were trimmed shortly after this photo.

4yr old kiko wether. No hoof trimming has ever been done on this goat. He is now 6yrs old in 11-08

2yr old boer cross. Hoof trim performed in 1-06, not again until 11-08. She is 6 yrs old as of 11-08 and still with us.
